Mastercrafts Series 2 Petition
For some reason the BBC have seen fit to abort plans to film a second series of Monty Don's wonderful series Mastercrafts, shown a few months ago on BBC2. I believe that they should revise that decision and go ahead with the second series.
If you agree with me, you can join me in contacting Janice Hadlow, Controller of BBC2 and let her know your thoughts.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree, Matthew.
ReplyDeleteWe should be doing all we can to inspire people in to learning more and experiencing traditional crafts. An episode on Cabinetmaking would be fantastic but, realistically, anything even remotely similar would satisfy many of us woodworkers and intrigue newcomers just flicking through the channels - boatbuilding, timber framing, etc.
Olly.
Series 2 is a must, the programme displays some of lifes real and rare skills, this could be the inspiration someone out there old or young might need. Something a lot of programmes these days fail to do!

I live in America and I love BBC shows far better than shows here in the US. I watch the real TopGear not this crap US version. Penn & Teller's Fool Us, MasterCrafts, Sherlock, Shameless, Ripper Street, James May's Toy Stories - ManLab - Things you need to know, Richard Hammond's Engineering Connections - Crash Course - Miracles of Nature, An Idiot Abroad, UFO Files, UFOs Untold Stories of Europe, and a lot more but that's all I can think of off the top of my head. I'm getting tired of everytime there is a great show, it's either cancelled or pushed back. I waited a year to watch Sherlock and now it's pushed back another year. TopGear has been pushed back so I've had to wait a year on it, and MasterCrafts is cancelled. I have to go through a lot to watch these shows as it is since we don't get them here in the States and when they are cancelled it really pisses me off. Why is the BBC so dumb when it comes to programming? They keep crappy shows and kill the great ones, it's like they don't want people to watch TV.
